Report for Custom Retro Motors Part B: Justifying the application of the accounting elements for job costing Purpose of operating a job cost sub system A job cost sub system is an accounting system used to separately record, accumulate, and monitor the costs associated with each individual manufacturing job. At Custom Retro Motors, every vehicle restoration is unique because different vehicles require different materials, labour time, specialist skills, and workshop resources. The subsystem records the direct materials, direct labour, and manufacturing overheads for each specific restoration so management can determine the total cost of each job. The subsystem is important because it provides accurate and reliable cost information.

    • Reinhardt van Greunen

      NCEA Level 3

I used it on my english connections and it said i would get merit and my teacher marked it as merit so its accurate

    • Tyler Sawyer

      NCEA Level 1

It actually reads the rubric properly unlike chatgpt.

    • Sienna Singh

      NCEA Level 2

What I like is it tells you WHICH criteria you're missing and then how to properly fix it.

    • Cody Summers

      NCEA Level 1

I started using this in my Geography and History assessments.

    • Liam O'Connor

      NCEA Level 2

this is actually solving a real problem. ncea rubrics are genuinely cooked and this just breaks it down properly.

    • Ana Fetu

      NCEA Level 3

It caught stuff I totally would've missed. Even my teachers use it to mark our work

    • Ella Shone

      NCEA Level 1

a friend showed me this after i got an achieved on my english. I wish i used it earlier so i could've maybe gotten merit.

    • Marcus Chen

      NCEA Level 3

I was worried this would just be a chatgpt rip off but it actually goes off the real criteria properly. I always use it to double check my drafts before handing stuff in now

    Have questions? Find answers.

No. ChatGPT can tell you whether your writing sounds good, but it was never built around the NCEA standards, so it can't tell you if your work sits at Achieved, Merit, or Excellence. NZGrader checks against the actual standard your teacher marks against, and shows you exactly which criteria you've met and which you haven't.

NZGrader reads your work and marks it against the standard. It never writes, rewrites, or adds anything to your work, so there is nothing AI-generated in what you hand in. It's the same as a tutor or a parent reading your draft and telling you where you're losing marks. If your school has a specific policy on feedback tools, check it, but using NZGrader to understand the standard and improve your own writing is studying, not cheating.

NZGrader marks against the same published NCEA standard your teacher uses, and it tells you the reasons behind the grade, not just a number. It's a reliable read on where your work currently sits and what would push it up a level. It isn't an official mark, only your marker can give that, but students use it to fix the gaps before they hand in, not after.

Marking schedules are written for markers, not students. NZGrader turns the standard into plain feedback: what you've nailed, what's costing you marks, and the specific parts to change. You get in a few minutes what would take hours of decoding criteria on your own.

We cover a growing list of NCEA subjects and internal standards across Levels 1 to 3. You pick your subject and standard when you upload, so the feedback is matched to exactly what you're being marked on. If we don't have your standard yet, tell us and we'll add it.

You can run a real grade check on real work before you pay anything, full feedback included, so you can see exactly what NZGrader does with your own writing. No credit card needed to start the trial.

Student PRO is $12/month and includes 15 grade checks; Teacher PRO is $39/month and includes 100. Extra checks are 20c each. Plans are month-to-month with no lock-in contract, billed in advance, and you can cancel anytime, it just runs to the end of the period you've paid for. There are no partial refunds for unused time, and your Consumer Guarantees Act rights aren't affected.

The free trial doesn't need a card at all. For a paid plan you'll need one, and a parent's card is fine, plans are priced to be an easy ask. There's no contract, so you can start and stop whenever it suits you.

By default your work is never used to train AI models, that only happens if you opt in, and then only as an anonymised copy. To work out your grade, parts of your writing are processed by our assessment engine, which passes them through AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) whose servers are overseas; using NZGrader means you consent to that. Your work is sent securely, you can delete any piece of work or your whole history at any time, and the full detail is in our Privacy Policy.

Try it free on a real piece of work first, so you're not guessing. If a paid plan isn't worth it for you, cancel anytime and you won't be charged again. NZGrader is only worth paying for if it actually moves your grade, and that's the bar we want you to hold it to.
